Abstract

907,683. Unit ventilation apparatus. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. Mav 1, 1961, No. 15653/61. Class 137. In a unit apparatus, con- ditioned air is conducted to an air distributing grill by means of a diffusershaped channel, the walls of which are entirely or partly perforated. In the drawing, 1 designates the casing of a room unit to which primary air is supplied by a duct 2 from a central air-conditioning unit (not illustrated). The primary air is then conducted through a passage 3 to an ejecting means 4, and then together with room air is conducted through a diffuser-shaped channel 5. The mixed air is discharged into the room through an opening 6, equipped with a grille. Room air can enter the unit apparatus either through openings 7 in which case the air is caused to pass through a heat-exchanger 8 or directly through openings 9, or simultaneously through both openings depending upon the position of dampers 10. The diffuser channel 5 is provided with perforations 11 to reduce the ejecting noise. Sound-absorbing material 12 covers the inner surface of that part of the casing walls surrounding the channel 5.
