Abstract

1318905 Ventilating apparatus NORDISK VENTILATOR CO AS 27 Oct 1970 [18 Dec 1969] 51074/70 Heading F4V An induction air distributing unit comprises a casing 10 subdivided into a first chamber 1 having a fresh air inlet 7, a second chamber 2 having air discharge apertures 9 and a third chamber 3 having apertures 14, and a damper 6 pivotally mounted in a passage through which the three chambers communicate, whereby in one extreme position of the damper, air from chamber 1 passes to both chambers 2 and 3 and is discharged through apertures 9, 14, and in the opposite extreme position air passes only into chamber 2 inducing a flow of room air through apertures 14 and chamber 3 into admixture with the fresh air in chamber 2. The portion 15 of the damper 6 which is positioned in the passage 4 between chambers 1 and 2 is L-shaped or corrugated, and the passage 4 may include a plate having nozzle apertures. Heating elements may be positioned in chamber 3.
