Abstract

642,085 Refrigerators. RIFKIN, M. April 30. 1946, No. 13040. '[Class 29] [Also in Group XVII] A frozen food dispensing cabinet having a food compartment with several openings each closed by a door 11 from which extend slides 21 supporting a row of packages 14 discharged one by one by contents delivering means (see Group XVII), is cooled by an air circulating system similar to that described in Specification 645,008 and comprising a fan 33 drawing air from a rear duct 40 and through a valved orifice in the cabinet wall and forcing it over an evaporator 34 to a hood 35 having baffles 36 guiding the air to holes 37 leading into the food compartment. A flexible seal 15 is provided around each door opening. Cold air is admitted to lower drawers 25 only when air ports 27, 28 coincide due to the drawers being closed. When the lowest drawer 25 is closed an air port 31 is opened into the rear passage 40. A permanent opening 49 supplies a limited amount of air to the upper drawer when open.
