Abstract
995,840. Binding posts; cable terminals. G.K.N. SCREWS & FASTENERS Ltd. Oct. 10, 1961 [Aug. 4, 1960], No. 26991/60. Heading H2E. An electrical terminal connector comprises a support plate 11 having an aperture 15 to receive a screw-threaded stem, and a nut 10 for screwing on the stem, nut 10 and plate 11 having mutually co-operating formations which provide for the nut 10 to be mounted captively on plate 11 and to be rotatable upon and relatively to one face 13 of the plate. As shown, nut 10 has an axial extension 14 located in aperture 15 with an enlarged extremity 16 fitting within countersunk recess 17 in plate 11. Plate 11 may form the flat part of a spade connector or it may have a radial extension which can be held while the nut is screwed on a post around which a wire is wrapped. A loose washer may be provided between nut 10 and face 13.
