[Class 38 (i)] A screw-down binding-post d has a vertical slot e to receive a flat terminal tongue a on a lead, the tongue a having a V-shaped notch c that engages over a more obtuse projection f in the base of the slot. A nut h screwing on the post presses the edges of the notch c against the base. The nut comprises a flanged metal insert in an insulating knob g. A screw stud i closes the slot e, prevents the nut h leaving the post and prevents the tongue a engaging the inner edge of the nut h.
