Abstract

678,802. Electric condensers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. May 9, 1951, No. 10867/51. Class 37. A condenser for direct attachment to one or more pins of a valve base comprises a stack of annular plates 1 having a central aperture large enough to' accommodate the pins without touching them, and one terminal end plate 5 so shaped, Fig. 3, as to contact selected pins. The annular plates 1 of e.g. mica are silvered at 2, 3, the coatings extending over each edge, so that the end plate 5 with its depending lip 4 when placed over the staple makes contact with the coatings 3; the lip 4 is pressed over an insulating disc 6 to hold the stack together, and an outer case 7 makes contact with the coatings 2, being bent over the assembly as shown in Fig. 2. The selected pins may be soldered to the end plate 5.
