Abstract

In a terminal comprising two metal plates 2 3 clamped together by a screw 6, the lower plate has a corrugation 11 about which the plates pivot to open jaws 12 to receive a wire 13. Each plate has a tab connector portion 4 or 5 while the lower plate 3 also has lugs 9 to prevent relative rotation of the plates within an insulating block 1. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), a single U-shaped plate (16) is used, the jaws (12) being spread by the natural resilience of the plate.
