Abstract

1390127 Terminals; electric couplings H WOERTZ and O WOERTZ [trading as OSKAR WOERTZ INH HQ O WOERTZ] 28 March 1972 [1 April 1971] 14563/72 Heading H2E In an electrical terminal connector of the kind in which wires 12, 13, 14 are clamped between a conductive bridging element 15 and the lower edges of openings in upwardly-biased slide members, each slide member comprises two plates 18 which slide in vertical recesses 17 (Fig. 5), in both sides of element 15. The lower edges of the openings in plates 18 are V-shaped, and the lower face of element 14 has a V-shaped longitudinal groove. Plates 18 are upwardly biased by a steel wire spring 23 having at least one turn 24 and ends 23a which pass through holes (22, Fig. 3, not shown), in plates 18. In a modification, Fig. 6, not shown, the two plates 18 of each slide member are spaced and engage separate vertical recesses in element 15; also, a flat spring (23<SP>1</SP>) replaces wire spring 23. The slide members are depressed by a tool 29 inserted in passages 28 in the flat insulating housing 10, which is provided with resilient legs 31 for rail mounting, and may be provided at its open side with a cover.
