Abstract
972,564. Mounting electrical equipment. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Aug. 31, 1962 [Sept. 4, 1961], No. 33464/62. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H2] A mounting for a surge diverter comprises two leaf springs held between three insulating blocks, relative rotation of the springs and blocks being prevented by mating bosses and recesses in adjacent faces of the blocks, the bosses passing through apertures in the springs. Fig. 2 shows a single mounting with identical blocks 1 and identical leaf springs 2 held together by a rivet 3. Each spring 2 (Fig. 3) has a tongue-shaped contact part 2a, bent as shown towards the second contact to receive the button-shaped surge diverter, apertures 2d through which pass bosses 1a which mate with recesses 1b, and a wiring tag 2e, which may alternatively be formed as a plug contact. Several individual mountings may be assembled end to end, when a through bolt may replace the rivet 3, or the mountings may be assembled as shown in Fig. 8, with a common facing strip 5 replacing one leaf spring for each mounting and providing an earthing connection if required.
