A connection device comprises a moulded insulating base 1 with a threaded terminal post 5 embedded therein and having feet 2 for engagement in a groove in a support 3. Grooves 7, 8 are provided in the base 1 to receive ter. minals attached to conductors which terminals are secured to post 5. A cover 16, Fig. 7, fits over the base and is secured by screws, a recess 21 being provided for receiving post 5. A number of devices may be engaged and secured side-by-side in the groove in support 3 and may be stacked one above the other. The bases 1 above the bottom one in the latter case are not provided with feet 2, Fig. 10 (not shown). A number of stacked devices may be interconnected by replacing the posts 5 by a screwthreaded rod passing through all the devices and to which conductors are connected at the different levels, Figs. 11 and 12 (not shown). Figs. 13-15 show a modification wherein a pair of insulating plates 33, 45 hold a terminal block 36 between them in a recess 35. Projections on the plates form a T-shaped portion over which a channel-shaped strip is slid to secure the plates together. Further plates may be secured to plates 33, 45 with terminal blocks between them to form a multi-connection device and adjacent terminals may be interconnected through holes 39, 43. A number of recesses may be provided in the plates in which terminal blocks are received one above the other, or a single recess may accommodate a number of interconnected blocks, Figs. 17 and 18 (not shown). Fig. 20 shows one of a pair of plates adapted to receive between them a conducting member 54, Fig. 21, carrying tubular connectors 55 for crimping on to conductor ends. These plates may form part of a stack. According to another embodiment, Fig. 23, a base 57 carries a screw-threaded post 59 on which terminals 60, 61 are clamped by a nut 62. A lock-nut 65 engaging the post has an insulating finger-grip 64 and carries a captive insulating cover 63 for the base.
