Abstract

The terminal clamp, for a bared wire end, has its clamping screw parallel to the wire's axis and acting on an L-shaped piece pivoted inside a U-shaped sheet metal housing. The L-shaped piece (2) is pivoted to the housing (1) at one point so that it presses the bared wire end (6) against a conductor (4) inserted into the housing's connecting hole. The screw (7) acts on the projecting arm of the L. Various arrangements are possible. The arrangement reduces production costs since there is no loss of material through milling out large recesses.
