Abstract

The electricity distribution terminal, which may be loose or fixed to a socket, is formed in two cooperating parts, one (1) being approximately U shaped for locating the conductors and the other comprising a L shaped clamping part (2). A clamping screw (3) passes through the upper limb of the L shaped part (2) and the end (4) of this limb fits into an aperture (5) in one arm (7) of the U shaped part (1), when the terminal is assembled. The end of the second limb of the L shaped part (2) is in the form of a tongue (10), which fits into a slot (9) in the second arm of the U shaped part (1), which is bent outwards, so that the tongue (10) moves along the slot (9) to allow the L shaped part (2) to be opened.
