Abstract

1,211,057. Terminal blocks. HEGO ELECTRIC G.m.b.H. 31 Jan., 1969 [29 July, 1968], No. 5359/69. Heading H2E. A clip-on terminal unit comprises an insulating housing 1 having a spring 2 for securing in an aperture in a wall 14 and containing a conductive terminal element composed of a sleeve 3, a connecting tab 4 suitable for a soldered, plug-in or crimped joint, and a clamping screw 5 surrounded by a sleeve 7 of resilient insulating material. The sleeve 7 may be held in the housing partly by its own resilience and partly by flanges 10 and 11, and may have a neck 9 of reduced diameter to prevent loss of the clamping screw. The screw may bear on a conductor-protecting spring 6. A number of these terminal units may be mounted side by side.
