Abstract

1,184,185. Two-part couplings; mounting terminals. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 25 July, 1967 [8 Aug., 1966], No. 35381/66. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] Terminals are moulded into the insulating cap for e.g. an ignition coil. Each terminal 16, (17) (Fig. 1, not shown) comprises a blade portion 22 for connection to a conventional socket connector and a hook portion 23 to which a wire may be attached. Resistance to withdrawal from the mounted cap is afforded by a shoulder 19 (Fig. 2) formed by two right-angle bends in the terminal or by a hole 21 (Fig. 3) through which the moulded material flows. Each terminal may have two blade portions 22 (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown).
