Abstract

987,723. Spray - producers. GRAHAMENOCK MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd., and S. F. BRANCH. March 20, 1964 [March 25, 1963], No. 11772/63. Heading B2F. A nozzle suitable for spraying liquid in a bottle-washing machine comprises a body member 1, a cap member 5, an orifice-forming member including a plurality of parts such as 11a, 11b, and an annular member 17 freely located in a groove 15 in said member, the arrangement being such that on supply of liquid the pressure thereof on the lower surface of the annulus causes the annulus and the parts such as 11a, 11b to move together to form a jet orifice 16 and when the supply is discontinued the orifice-forming parts separate to the Fig. 2 position (not shown) to prevent clogging of the orifice 16. The orifice-forming member preferably, consists of four parts and the end face 7 of the body member 1 may be countersunk as shown in dotted lines to avoid the accumulation of dirt particles.
