Abstract

1320920 Fuel injection nozzles C A V Ltd 20 Oct 1970 [12 Nov 1969] 55391/69 Heading F1B A fuel injection nozzle unit comprises a resiliently-loaded stop 19 for a resiliently loaded valve member 16 which is moved by fuel pressure away from its seating 15 to permit restricted fuelflow through orifice 14 when the valve member contacts the stop and a resiliently loaded piston 17 which moves under fuel pressure to limit the rise in fuel pressure to a desired value at which it moves the valve member 16 and stop 19 further to permit unrestricted fuel-flow. A further stop 22 limits movement of the valve member by the piston.
