1,274,225. Fuel injectors. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Oct. 20, 1969 [Nov. 14, 1968], No.54067/68. Heading F1B. In a liquid fuel injection nozzle having a body part 10 and an integral or, as shown, an attached nozzle head 11 provided with a discharge orifice controlled by a valve which is opened by pressurized fuel received through inlet 14, the valve is biased to its closed position by a straight or bowed leaf-spring 18 having at least one blade. The force exerted by the spring is adjustable by an adjustable abutment 20. Movement of the valve is limited by a stop plate 16.
