Abstract
1287492 I C engine fuel injectors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 13 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 7018/70 Heading F1B Fuel pressure acting on a valve needle 8 and a pair of pistons 18 initially overcomes the closing force of a spring 10 to open the valve. When the needle 8 has lifted a distance Vh a shoulder on the needle blocks communication between the supply passage 14 and the pistons 18 and the needle achieves full lift Gh when the supply pressure acting on the needle alone has built up sufficiently. On valve closure fuel displaced by the pistons passes through a non-return valve 21. Fuel leakage into the spring chamber is discharged through the bore 23. The nozzle body 1 is located on the holder 4 by a pair of pins (24), Fig. 2 (not shown).
