983,448. Containers of fibrous material. MEAD CORPORATION. Sept. 4, 1961 [Sept. 6, 1960], No. 31707/61. Heading B8D. A container 11 of paper or other fibrous material has a base 27, of deformable sheet metal anchored against upward and downward movement by crimping on to the lower end of the side wall 13 of the container, a sheet metal chime 25 surrounding the crimped lower part of the wall 13 and base 27. The upper end of the container, Fig. 2, has a cover 17 turned inwards at 17d round the upper part of a chime 15 and outwards at 17t to form a seating for a. clamping ring 23.
