Abstract

859,972. Container closures. RONSON CORPORATION. Dec. 15, 1958, No. 40365/58. Class 125(3). A spout assembly for a liquid dispenser comprises a base member 1 and spout 10, which may both be of polyethylene, the base 1 having guide ways 8 engaged by flanges 13 on the spout to enable a passage 12 in the spout to be moved into or out of register with an aperture 7 in an upper wall 5 of the base 1, the curved lower end of the spout forming a seal with a convex portion of the base 1 which it deforms downwardly. The spout 10 is insertable in the base 1 due to the elasticity of the material of which one or both of these parts are made. In a modification, Figs 6 and 7 (not shown), the spout 10 has a skirt portion movable over the upper wall of the base and pivoted on integral lugs which engage sockets in the said wall.
