Abstract

1,037,344. Nestable cups. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS Inc. March 22, 1963 [March 22, 1962], No. 11490/63. Heading A4A. [Also in Division B8] A thin-walled container of thermoplastics material having a stacking ledge 39, Fig. 2 (not shown), spaced below its rim and supporting a shoulder 34, formed in the upper side wall of an adjacent similar nested container, has an outjutting zone 22 in its side wall above a base portion 20. The zone 22 spaces principal side wall portions 18 of nested containers and thereby prevents printing on an inner container from being rubbed off; it may take various forms, Figs. 4-7 (not shown). The portion 20 includes a part 24 carrying a design. The container may be formed by means of vacuum or positive pressure.
