Abstract

978,828. Dry shavers. BRAUN A.G. July 17, 1963 [July 18, 1962], No. 28234/63. Heading B4B. A dry shaver comprises a cutter block 1 mounted on a pin 7 projecting from a reciprocable slide 6 and biased towards a foil plate 4 by a spring 2, the slide being connected to a driving shaft 9 and guided in its reciprocable movement by means of balls or rollers 13, 14, carried in grooves 12, 15 formed in opposite faces 6a, 6b of the slide and in faces 11, 16 of a cap 10 and plate 17 respectively. The slide has a fork 8 into the slot 8a of which extends an eccentric pin 23 carried on the shaft 9 which is driven by motor 22 ; the pin may be replaced by a rocker arm. The cutter block is rotatably mounted on a pin 21 which is carried in the arms of a U-shaped member 20 rotatably mounted on the pin 7.
