Abstract

628,599. Dry shavers. ADVANCE COMPONENTS, Ltd., and STAPLETON, A. W. Oct. 25, 1946, Nos. 31728/46 and 2470/47. [Class 131] In a dry shaver head having a number of cutting elements each comprising a shear plate and a cutter movable relatively thereto, a resilient coupling is provided between. each cutter and the common driving member. As shown the cutters 14 with cutting faces 14a are reciprocated beneath slotted U-shape shear plates 13 by a tongued resilient plate 15 which engages the drive from the motor. In a modification the drive is transmitted to a common driving and pressure plate resiliently mounted on four compression springs each cutter being supported and driven from the pressure plate by two short coil springs located on pegs on the plate and on the lower edge of the cutters.
