Abstract

1,155,311. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 12 July, 1966[15 July, 1965],No. 31173/66. Heading B4B. In a dry shaver having a detachable holder 1 provided with a plurality of apertures 2 into each of which fits a removable shaving head 3 comprising a shear plate 4 and a cutting member 5, the shaving heads being retained in the holder by means of a separate plate-shaped member 8, the member 8 is provided with spring clips 9 the free ends of each of which engage lugs 10 of the holder. The holder is provided near its centre with a stud 12 having a head 13 which together with a U-shaped spring 14 disposed in a socket 15 of the shaver housing forms a press stud fastening for securing the holder to the housing. The clips 9 are pivotally mounted in a bracket 11 which is pressed towards the member 8 by a collar 17 on the stud 12. The driving shaft 6 for each cutter 5 is resiliently connected in the longitudinal direction with the driving shaft of the shaver motor so that the shaving head can be moved perpendicularly in the aperture 2. Each shear plate has a stop for limiting upward movement in the holder 1 and downward movement in the member 8.
