905,522. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 1, 1959 [May 6, 1958], No. 14979/59. Class 131. Interchangeable cutting heads mounted on a dry shaver for selective engagement with the driving mechanism give shaves of different closeness. As shown, cutting heads 4, 5, having cutters pressed against apertured shear plates of different thickness or having apertures of different size or cutting bevel, are hinged to a plate 3 screwed to the housing 1 and are urged by springs to lie in the same plane as the plate so as to be rotatable about the screw 2 to a position in which the selected head can be pivoted to a position of use in which it is held by a catch spring 6. A press-button release 9 is provided. In the in-use position the cutters of the selected head engage the driving shafts 7 which are rotated through gearing 8 by an electric motor.
