Abstract

977,772. Fertiliser distributers. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Jan. 3, 1961 [Jan. 25, 1960], No. 243/61. Heading A1D. A fertilizer distributer comprises a spreader member 5 rotatable about a horizontal axis and provided with baffle members 70, 73 which may be adjusted to alter the distribution pattern. The spreader member comprises blades 45 fixed to a shaft 60 by a key 53 and pin 52 and rotatable in a bearing 56 one end of which is spaced by a distance 57 from the end of the hopper 29. Parts 38, 39 are formed in the bottom of the hopper and the size of the openings is adjusted by a slide 98 controlled by a lever 105. A resilient helical member 113 feeds material to the openings 38, 39 and an agitator 117 is removably attached to the side of the hopper and is moved by a cam 116 on a member 111 secured to the shaft 60.
