An implement for spreading artificial fertilizer of the kind comprising a container provided with an outlet port 52 through which material is fed to an ejector 6 rotatable about a vertical axis, is characterized in that a baffle 24 is asymmetrically mounted above the ejector and is formed with a rim 19, the baffle being angularly adjustable about the axis of the ejector. The baffle 24 is fixed to an annulus 12 provided with the outlet port 52 and the amount of material delivered to the ejector is varied by an inner annulus 11 which is vertically adjustable by means of a lever 35 pivoted on the baffle. The baffle is adjusted by means of a lever 26. An inspection opening 42 is formed in the baffle for inspecting the outlet port and a cover 43 which may be transparent is provided.
