Abstract

970,075. Stoppers. W. HEUBL. Jan. 27, 1962, No. 3285/62. Heading B8T. A closure device for bottles comprises a hollow stopper 5 and a wire yoke 8 which consists of a U-shaped portion 8a, 8b and a Y- shaped portion 8c, 8d and 8e in which 8d and 8e comprise a grip and may be covered by a sheath 10. The stopper is secured by the part 8a engaging a groove 9 in the stopper and the grip 8d, Se being pushed down so that part 8c engages beneath an annular bead 3 on the bottle neck 4. A sealing washer 6 is provided. The stopper may include a cap 7; the stopper and cap may be joined after the insertion of the yoke 8 in the groove 9, or they may be integral with the groove 9 in the cap. The yoke 8 may be used as an opener for bottles with known forms of metal tops.
