Abstract

1,028,972. Stoppers. PERMUTA CLOSURE Ltd. Feb. 1, 1963 [Feb. 1, 1962], No. 3816/62. Heading B8T. A tamper - proof plastics closure comprises a head portion 1, and a skirt portion 4 having an annular step or tub 5 which is adapted to engago below a ridge on a bottle to prevent illicit opening thereof. The skirt also includes a tab 9 defined by slots, and two lines of weakening 6, 7 (Fig. 1, not shown). The tab further includes a projection 10 which displaces the tab above the surface of the skirt to facilitate easier gripping thereof. The head portion may clip over a rim on the bottle neck. or may include a tubular stopper having ribs which engage the inside of the bottle neck. In the latter embodiment the head portion includes a shoulder which rests on the top of the bottle neck.
