Abstract

956,114. Clamps. STONESTREET, HANSEN (PROPRIETARY) Ltd. Jan. 2, 1963, No. 287/63. Heading E2B. A pipe clamp comprises two pivoted jaws 4, 5 with a link 7 pivoted to the end of one jaw 4 a clamping head 10 pivoted to the free end of the link 7 for engagement with a lug 8 on the end of the other jaw, the head 10 being engageable by a tool whereby the head must be rotated through two positions by the tool in order to release the clamp. As shown the head is formed with bores 16, 17 at right-angles to each other, for a tommy bar 18 by which the head is rotated from a locking position to a latching position and thereafter to a release position.
