Heading B3B [Also in Division E2] A toggle clamp comprises a base 11, Fig. 1, having a vertical or horizontal extension carrying a pivoted clamping arm 16 and a horizontal or vertical extension carrying an operating lever 13 and a link 19, the lever or link being pivoted to the extension or the arm. Projections 22 on the links 19 prevent locking of the handle in the released position. Modified clamps are illustrated in Fig. 4 (not shown) in which the handle locks in released position; in Fig. 5; in Fig. 6 (not shown) in which a stop screw 40 limits movement of the handle which is directly pivoted to the arm 27 and in Fig. 7, the latter two requiring a double-action movement of the handle to release the clamp.
