Abstract

942,693. Clamps. BALZERS PATENTUND LIZENZ-ANSTALT. Sept. 15, 1961 [Oct. 11, 1960], No. 33123/61. Heading E2B. A clamp for connecting two tube flanges 1, 2 to one another comprises a rigid casing 2, 1 adapted to be placed sideways over the flanges so as to partly encircle the flanges and to abut end faces of both flanges, and a further abutment 26 movable relative to the casing and capable of being pressed against the end face of one of the flanges by a bell-crank lever 22 pivotally mounted in the casing and operated by a screw 25 which is adjustable in a tapped bore in the casing. As shown the casing comprises pairs of upper and lower abutments 4 and 6 respectively, and in plain view, is substantially U-shaped.
