1,065,661. Clamps. MEDIZINISCHE GERATEFABRIK BERLIN VEB. April 8, 1964, No. 14465/64. Heading E2B. A clamping device comprises a clamp body 2 having two arms projecting from one side thereof, one arm having a projection at or near its end remote from the body and directed towards the other arm, the clamp body having a bore 10 wherethrough, a clamping piece 3 pivoted about the other arm with one end extending into the space between the arms, the other end of the clamping piece projecting beyond the face of the arm remote from the first arm, screw means 1 for urging a rod 8 placed within the bore towards the two arms so as to clamp the rod against a side of the bore, the other end of the clamping piece being moved simultaneously by the rod so as to reduce the distance between the first end of the clamping piece and the projection on the first arm. As shown the clamping piece 3 cooperates with the first arm to clamp the device to a clamp rail 7 of a hospital operating table, the clamping pressure of the piece 3 being adjustable by means of a screw 4 which is securable by a screw 5.
