[Class 61 (ii)] A device for clamping a workpiece such as 23 to a frame member 24 comprises a base member 10 along which is slidably mounted a block 12 having a dovetail tongue 13 engaging a dovetail groove 11 in the base member 10 and fitted with a bracket 15 to which is pivoted at 17 an operating lever 18 provided with holes to receive the bent fulcrum end 19 of the clamping member 20 terminating in an overhanging end 21 and clamping foot 22, the clamping member being locked when the lever 18 is turned down over the dead-centre position.
