933,268. Latches. WILMOT-BREEDEN Ltd. April 27, 1961 [May 9, 1960], No. 16257/60. Class 44. The door fastening of a vehicle is operated by the movement of a spring biased member 11 pivoted in a body 10 to engage an abutment 18 on a fastening actuating member 15 which is rotatable from inside the vehicle by a mechanism 20, 21, 22 to align the abutment 18 with a recess 14 in the member 11 which is then rendered inoperative. The device is associated with a door handle. In a modification the member 15 is fixed against rotation and the member 11 incorporates a barrel lock operating a projection to turn it into and out of engagement with the abutment.
