Abstract
932,448. Containers. J. LYONS & CO. Ltd. Feb. 1, 1960 [Feb. 4, 1959], No. 3943/59. Class 94(2). A container 1 is made of thin 'thermoplastic ' material e.g. a seamless tube of polythene heatsealed at one end 3 and partly heatsealed at the other end 4, an opening being left in the end 4 for a valve tube 2, also of polythene but preferably thinner than the container, which is heatsealed into the opening at 5. The end of the valve tube 2 inside the container 1 is spaced from the end 3 by a distance such that the level of the liquid when the container is charged with a predetermined quantity is at or below the end of the tube when the container is inverted and above it when the container is upright. The valve tube 2 is adapted to receive a filling or emptying tube by narrowing its inner end by converging seals 7, 8, so that it fits tightly round the tube. Specification 932,449 is referred to.
