Abstract

775,217. Package for liquids. PETERS, L. Feb. 21, 1955, No. 5152/55. Classes 66 and 94(1). A package for liquids, particularly for beverages comprises a spherical container 10 having collapsible walls, the walls being flexible but non-elastic and being liquid tight and gas retaining, a sealed outlet tube 11 connected to the container adapted to be opened and to communicate with the interior, a liquid within the container and partially filling it, and a gas maintained under pressure pressing against the walls to prevent them from collapsing until pressure is released. The outlet may be heat sealed, as at 12, and may be opened by cutting or tearing across, the liquid being emptied out by pressing the walls.
