Abstract

823,855. Paper and like bags. BERGHGRACHT, M. Jan. 23, 1956 [May 10, 1955; Oct. 28, 1955], No. 2192/56. Class 94(2). A bag for powders or liquids has a seamless base and heat sealed side seams 2, the upper portions of which converge the side walls having longitudinal creases 4, 5 to enhance rigidity. The mouth is heat sealed after filling. The bags may be formed from a tripple ply web, the exposed faces of the outer plies being coated with thermoplastic lacquer and the inner ply having been dipped in paraffin wax or thermoplastic resin. Additional creases such as 8 may be provided. The base may be reinforced by a separate cardboard &c. member 10 secured thereto. The side seams may be curved instead of angled as shown.
