Abstract

921,148. Cartons. ALBERT E. REED & CO. Ltd. Sept. 27, 1961 [Oct. 11, 1960], No. 34801/60. Class 18. In a box or ease for a jerrican of the kind described in Specification 904,470, made from a blank there is a top flap 15 hingedly connected to the front side wall 6 of the box at a level adjacent the lower edge of the inclined wall 7 of the jerrican 2, and having an aperture 16 to fit its pouring neck 14, the flap having a hingedly connected extension flap 18 to extend across the top 11 of the jerrican and the flap 18 having a handhole 19 formed therein. This handhole registers with the corresponding back handhole 19 when the box is closed by sealing flap 18 to wall 4 e.g. with tape. The side walls 5 also have flaps 20 with handholes 21 to facilitate removal of the box from an outer easing. A further handhole 9 is formed beneath the box.
