918,608. Knitting. LIEBRANDT, K. Feb. 29, 1960 [Feb. 28, 1959], No. 6967/60. Class 74 (2). Warp knitted fabric is provided with transverse stripes 4, 5, 6, e.g. marking the beginnings, the ends and the fold-over lines of the double welts of stocking blanks 3 to be cut therefrom, by stopping for a course, at predetermined intervals, the movement of a yarn guide bar along the needle line. A catch 16 is caused to nullify the action of a return spring device 14 which normally causes guide bars 12 to follow the profile of a pattern disc or drum 8. The catch is actuated by an electromagnet 15, the controlling switch of which is closed by a button on a wheel driven from the draw-off roller.
