Abstract
914,878. Spinning machines. BREVETS AERO-MECHANIQUES S.A. Oct. 24, 1961 [Nov. 15, 1960], No. 38000/61. Class 120 (2). In a spinning machine, particularly one where the spindles are driven by mechanism in a casing, each spindle has a retractable yarnguide 4, one or more balloon-limiters 7, 9, which can be lowered along the spindle-axis, and a retractable separator 11, all of which can be operated by a single device. The guides on each side of the machine are carried by arms 5 fixed to a rotatably-mounted shaft 6; the balloon limiters are carried by bars 8, 10 and the separators 11 by bars 12 carried by arms 13 fixed to rotatably mounted shafts 14. An operating shaft 16 runs through the machine; it is linked at intervals as at 22, 21, 20 to rotate the shafts 6 and is linked at intervals as at 23, 24, to bar 8 to which is secured a rod 25 connected to bar 10 and, by a pin-and-slot connection 29, 28 (to provide for the greater displacement of the limiters relatively to the separators) to arms 30 fixed to the shafts 14. The shaft 16 is manually operated through a worm and worm-wheel associated with a switch for starting the machine which can only be operated when the shaft 16 is in the position which corresponds to the active positions of the retractable members.
