Abstract

A latex coating for application to fabrics which are to be dyed subsequently (see Group IV(c) comprises natural rubber latex in which is incorporated 10 to 50 parts by weight of polyvinyl acetate and/or an acrylate polymer based on a corresponding 90 to 50 parts by weight of compounded latex solids.ALSO:A textile material (nylon or acetate) is coated with a rubber latex in which is incorporated 10-50 parts by weight of polyvinyl acetate and/or an acrylic polymer corresponding to 90-50 parts by weight of latex solids, the coating is dried and vulcanised and the treated material and coating is given a subsequent dyeing treatment with acetate, acid, nylon or direct dyes.
