Abstract

912,171. Indicators. THACKRAY Ltd., CHAS. F. April 15, 1959 [April 30, 1958], No. 13725/58. Class 3 (2). An indicator for the door of a pressure vessel having a toggle bar closure mechanism 5 comprises a dial gauge incorporating a pointer 11 connected to a spring- loaded linkage 7, 10. Instead of a pointer a plate - like indicator element may be used (see Fig. 3, not shown). The pointer may be coupled to a spindle having an extension for operating an electrical control switch (see Fig. 2, not shown). Finally, the member 5 may reciprocate a spring-loaded spindle pivoted at one end to a double-ended lever which in turn controls one or more valves associated with the pressure vessel (Fig. 4, not shown).
