Abstract
In a straight bar machine a spring biased lever actuates a micro switch to stop the machine upon failure of a point bar return spring attached to the lever. The return spring 16 Fig. 1 (not shown) is fixed at one end to a pivoted arm 17 engaging the point bar 20, and at the other to the spring biased lever 15. When spring 16 breaks or weakens the lever is urged towards the microswitch 22 by the less powerful spring 28 Fig. 2 (not shown). p
