Abstract

<PICT:0854998/III/1> A burette 1 having a motor actuated piston 3 in which the displacement of the piston in the cylinder 2 is transmitted to an indicator 14 such as a counter and/or a digit printer, has the gearing for actuating the piston and the gearing for the indicating device separated from each other so that the gearing can be held free from play between the piston, or the spindle thereof and the indicating device. Corrective gearings may be introduced between the piston and the indicator so as to correct for variations in solutions &c.
