Abstract

927,430. Indicating liquid levels. WHESSOE Ltd. June 7, 1960 [March 4, 1959], No. 7526/59. Class 123 (1). The subject-matter of this Specification is generally the same as that described in Specification 927,429, but the claims are concerned with a sealing member 23 which is carried by the tape 4 and is adapted, when the tape 4 is reeled up and the float 3 raised, to close an opening in a pliable sheet of material 26 through which the tape enters the tank 2. As shown, the sealing member 23 is retained in its raised sealing position by a lever 27 which is manually rockable by means of a handle 29 from a retracted position to the position shown in which its forked end engages between axially adjustable abutments 24, 25 on a stem 22 of the sealing member 23.
