[Also in Division Gl] In a pressure gauge a sealed magnetic reed contact unit is mounted on an adjustably rotatable bracket 3 secured to the centre of the gauge glass 5 and a magnet 2 is attached to the gauge pointer 4, so that when the pointer reaches a position predetermined by the adjusted position of bracket 3, the contact unit is actuated. The contact unit is arranged in circuit with a signal or warning device or is arranged to actuate an automatic operation. The sealed contact unit may initially have its contacts open or held closed by a magnet contained therein. In an alternative arrangement the contact unit is mounted on the pointer and the magnet on the adjustable bracket 3.
