Abstract
1,097,188. Bridge measuring circuits. BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO. Ltd. July 22, 1966 [April 22, 1965], No.16979/65. Heading G1U. Detecting and indicating apparatus which indicates when a temperature or pressure sensitive resistor R4 has a required predetermined value and which operates alarms and/or control circuitry when the value changes by a given amount consists of two linked D.C. bridge circuits including the resistor R4 in common, one circuit having an indicator I connected across it while the other has an amplifier A connected across. The amplifier in the event of too high a resistance R4 operates an alarm via relay B while if the resistance is too low relay C can be used to operate control circuitry. The proper operation of the bridge may be checked periodically by means of switch S1 and preset resistor R7.
