911,896. Blank cartridges. WASAGCHEMIE A.G. March 24, 1959 [July 31, 1958], No. 10234/59. Class 9 (1). A blank cartridge for artillery use comprises a case 6 containing a nitrocellulose powder 1 in ribbon form and closed by cardboard discs 2, 5 between which cork discs 3, 4 are placed. An igniter 7 having a conical forward end is screwed into the head of the case and contains fine-grained black powder and a primer cap. The ribbon charge 1 may fill the interior of the case or part of the charge may be in flake form.
