Abstract

904,074. Ammunition cartridge. A.V.R. ACHAT, VENTES, REPRESENTATIONS S.A. Oct. 24, 1960 [Oct. 28, 1959], No. 36414/60. Class 9 (1). An ammunition cartridge for firing projectiles, as in Specification 904,073, comprises a case 1 and bullet 2, the latter being characterized in that it has an axial bore 3 containing an ignition powder 6, the powder being retained in position by caps 7, 8 which fit into counter-bores 4, 5. Each cap consists of discs of easily tearable material and is held in place by a ring 9, 10 which itself is snapped into position with the counter-bore 4, 5. The bullet is intended to remain attached to the case, the case being empty, but still having the usual percussion cap which on being struck ignites the powder 6 which in turn ignites the relay of the projectile.
